Finished Renovating

Some of the mess that we created while we were doing our renovations. Quiet disturbing lol!












I did most of the undercoat on Friday night after Michael went to bed. Looked really patchy, but came up a treat when the top coat went on.







Our brand new lounge :) I went out Saturday night to a crop, and when I came home (at 3.30am lol) Michael had painted the whole lounge while I was gone. What a sweetie hey? He had ulterior motive though, he wanted to go out Gold Detecting on Sunday :D

Friday Night Renos

Just a quick update. Michael and I watched a movie tonight (Knowing) then we decided 10pm was a great time to do the undercoat :o) We’ve done the cutting in of the undercoat, now just need to do the rest of the area. He’s gone to bed, work in the morning, but I’m feeling inspired. I might just do the rest of the Undercoat by myself :o)

   

Renovation Time

None of the usual long story blather.. OK I lie lol. I finally got sick of the nasty poo coloured walls in our house so I conned sweet talked Michael into helping me move all the furniture out of the lounge room. We have puttied, sanded, puttied some more and sanded some more :) Painting should begin tomorrow today (it’s now AM). We have to putty up more where the old air-con was (they did a bodgy job after they replaced the plasterboard). Once we’ve done that, we’ll sand some more, wash the walls and hopefully get the undercoat done. OK Bed time! Thanks for reading and for all the support girls!

  

Creative streak Continues

Wow, I don’t know the last time I actually made so many cards lol. I am having lots of fun, trying a few new techniques and using a few old favourites. I really like the dream card, the “bad or fattening” one is cool too. Not sure about that frog card, it just wouldn’t behave haha!

 

Explore

Finally I have finished my Travel ATC’s. These took so long to get out. I think probably doing 11 is a little daunting, plus I knew I didn’t have anything x 11 to be able to use on my ATC’s so it had to be all stamping or computer generated.. Well I could have gone shopping.. LOL.
Anyhow I stamped the Dark Room Door image first, then made a mask out of some scrap card. I placed it on the card, sprayed with home made glimmer sprays, then while it was still wet stamped with the Tim Holtz swirly stamp. Did that 11 times ;o) then painted the buildings and water using distressing inks. I stamped the Dark Room Door  lamps and did a very fussy, cutting. Distressed those with distressing inks and adhered them with mounting tape.. Stamped the word explore in the top right corner. Wow.. It doesn’t sound like much work, but it was, x11 HAHA!

Cards cards cards

Wow talk about being in a crafting mood.. Ok I don’t know how much is me being in a creative mood and how much is me just procrastinating so that I don’t have to finish my travel ATC’s. Ugh! I have just gotten to a spot and now I have no idea what to do next.. bah!
So anyhow I’ve found this cool site, StampTv and they have some really cool challenges, so I have partaken in 4 of them and I am just trying to think of something for the 5th challenge. It’s another colour challenge. Now I know 4 cards in 4 days isn’t alot for some, but for me it is LOL. I really struggle. I spend way to long thinking about things.

Anyhow the first card was a Colour challenge (red white and black) the second card was a technique challenge (smacking acetate), third card is a random challenge (I think it was haha) which was boy themed card and the forth card was a sketch challenge. Lots of fun. The girls there all seem to do a different type of card to me. I think that my style has changed a little from doing so many atc’s. I think I am developing my craft HAHA!

Recent ATC’s

Here are some recent ATC’s that I have made. Some are for Atcoz, some for CuteStampers. I really like some of these.. What’s YOUR fav? I have spares of some of these so if you comment. I may send you the one you like (if available) :) I really like the “all things grow with love” and the weather one is so cute. The background paper has been run through the cuttlebug to make the rain. But rather than have it bumpy side out, it is the other way around. 

ANSD and P!NK

Wow I can’t believe how fast the days are flying by. Last month at Allcraftz was NSD/W here are all the things I made for the challenges. Mostly the sketch challenges were all I achieved. I didn’t win anything though, I don’t even know who did win LOL. I did 4 cards, 6 ATC’s and one Lo. Not bad for a weekends work. You could do the challenges over a week, but I find that too long and drawn out. I was thinking of
doing another Challenge but I ended up going off to Brisbane for the P!NK concert.
Pink was so AWESOME! I had the most fun. It was so hot and tiring too, we had to stand for ages, and sit on the ground lots too. Was definitely worth it though. When she came out the pain disappeared lol. She talked to us all, gave lots of eye contact and the stunts she did were AMAZING!! I would go again!

    

ATC CJ – Nova

Here is my ATC for Nova. Her theme was Birds or Butterflies, so I did birds, but I did give the girl butterfly wings ;) The image came from a challenge at Art Adventure. Even though I’ve missed their challenge by a few months, I still liked the image and wanted to do something with it. I hope Nova likes it.
